The second iteration of the upstart La Di Da Film Festival begins tonight in NYC with the US Premiere of How To Disappear Completely (Official Selection Locarno Film Festival) by Raya Martin followed by Josephine Decker's anything goes freak-out, Butter on the Latch. Largely focused on young American filmmakers, La Di Da expands this year to include a couple internationals (see Michal Marczak's Fuck for Forest), as well as some hand-picked older films, including Fatal Attraction, followed by a Skype conversation with filmmaker / actress Amy Seimetz. LDD founder and curator Miriam Bale (and new New York Times film critic) has a sharp eye for new, edgy work and the programming here is uniformly bold. Strongly recommended for NYC. These are the sorts of films you won't often get a chance to see in a theater. Click here for the full schedule and check out a teaser below for How to Disappear Completely and Fuck for Forest.
