After a night at the bar, a guy invites a girl home to see his angelfish. Examining a disparity of expectations in modern relationships, “Angelfish” is a tense drama that takes place over just a few minutes but packs in a huge conversation.
At trivia night, Patrick meets Claire and invites her back to his place. The question is: what do they expect to happen when they arrive? Claire seems intent on quickly seeing the fish and then heading home, while Patrick leisurely smokes a cigarette and offers her another drink, presumably angling for more than just a fish viewing.
Georgia Wilde and Adam Sollis deliver excellent performances in point/counterpoint roles.
