*Online Premiere* 16-year old Sydney and her soccer team friends set out to toilet paper a classmate's house, but the night takes an unexpected turn. Directed by Fernando Andrés and Tyler Rugh, “Igloo” captures the excitement, nerves and confusion of a roller coaster evening where a lot could go wrong, and does. It all begins when one of the girls classmates, Ian, posts a series of Instagram photos comparing the girls soccer team to Pixar characters. Finding the photos “high-key racist” and “so degrading,” they decide to toilet paper Ian’s house as retribution. When the time comes however, it turns out that Sydney has more to be upset about than the threat of being caught. Attuned to the cadence and speaking patterns of young girls, the film works as a authentic snapshot of a high school weekend gone wrong, boosted by naturally funny asides (“you aren’t famous in you’re in the blue man group”) and subtlety rich characterizations and backstories.
