*Online Premiere* Logline: Peter is selling his old car and Ruth believes she can help. Our take: “Nadine,” co-directed by and starring Hans Holsen and Nancy Friedrich, is an absurd comedy about putting way too much effort into selling a cheap car. After leaving their horticulture group meet-up, Ruth notices that Peter has put his Saturn (named Nadine) up for sale, but thinks his asking price of $895 is too low. Luckily, she runs a YouTube channel with over 20,000 subscribers, and suspects that one of them would be interested in the car. Before you know it, she’s hired a cast and crew of dozens to get to work on a “5 to 7 minute commercial,” and hijinks prevail. Basically a 17 minute sketch, mostly improvised from its clown car cast, running wild in all directions, it gets funnier as it goes as the behind-the-scenes stress and in-fighting come to a head. [Watch on YouTube]. (17 minutes). Director and Actor: Hans Holsen & Nancy Friedrich. Director or Photography & Editor Nick Ehart. Producer: Josine Vermeulen Holsen.
