*Online Premiere* The free-spirited, Arkansas-born entertainer, Tav Falco, has been touring the world for over three decades. In this low-key documentary snapshot by directors JP Olsen and Kristen Nutile, we follow as the 71-year old Falco prepares for a new North American tour. As he struts around NYC dressed in his finest (as always), he muses on his isolated Southern upbringing, and the power of persona, before launching into his brand of snarling Rock & Roll (here accompanied by Mike Watt). We don’t post many music profiles on NoBudge, but this one caught my eye because I come from a place where the lore of Tav Falco is strong — Memphis, Tennessee — where the man exists somewhere between a legend and a ghost. His quest has always resonated with me, particularly in a city with a relatively short supply of artists in the undercurrent. In “Tav Falco - Make Me Know You’re Mine,” filmmakers Olsen and Nutile capture him simply, without an agenda, never intruding on his flights of fancy, or his search for the unconscious. (13 minutes) Directed by JP Olsen and Kristen Nutile. Starring Tav Falco.
