*Online Premiere* A strange encounter with a man who loves dogs. The new short from Graham Mason — we’ve previously featured his “The Photos of Ana” and “Monkey and Man” — takes the form of a visualization exercise, intended to help you relax. As a soothing voice talks you through a pleasant day in the park walking your dog, you’re supposed to feel free from worry. But when a “man with kind eyes” enters the picture, asking to pet your dog, it unexpectedly opens up a can of existential anxiety. This hilarious bit of meditation parody will be relatable to anyone who’s ever felt inadequate to the people and pets in their lives. Mason is a connoisseur of the dry conceptual jab: "Monkey and Man" was an satirical educational film comparing the life a monkey in Southeast Asia with that of an awkward man in Brooklyn. And "The Photos of Ana" took aim at the overly serious discussions between art and artist. "Walking Your Dog in the Park" stars Anthony Oberbeck, who can also be seen in this Matrix remake. (4 minutes). Written, Directed, and Edited by Graham Mason. Starring Anthony Oberbeck and Gibby. Director of Photography: Aaron Kovalchik. Music: Bennett Young & Emma Young.
