*Online Premiere* Cora eats a pear labeled “Not Yours” and begins to experience troubling symptoms. Alanna Morton directs “Wash Your Fruit,” a dry workplace comedy that turns into a surreal nightmare, constructed with imaginative production design, costuming and makeup. After eating the pear in question, Cora begins to feel sick. And as her slight unwellness turns into significant illness, she goes in search of answers from the rightful pear owner, gradually discovering that what she ate wasn’t your average pear. Megan DeCino stars in a terrifically committed performance, understated, funny and at times disturbing. As her situation comes unglued, the film matches in intensity and culminates with a wild final sequence where Cora’s plight comes full circle. [Watch on YouTube]. (15 minutes). Written, directed and produced by Alanna Morton. Starring Megan DeCino, Micheal Oshins and Bavani Selvarajah. DP / Producer: Tamur Qutab. Editors: Alanna Morton & Alanna Murray. SFX Make up: Ivey Habor. Art Director: Helen Blash. Sound Design / Mixing: Joshua H. Pleeter. Score: James Kristifik.

For more about the film, read our new interview with director Alanna Morton, who discusses the demonic origins of the project, and how her horticultural awareness inspired the visual landscape. (Members Only / Become one here)
