*Online Premiere* Fed up with her dating prospects, Jess invites a nice guy from work over for dinner, only to find out he is even more problematic than the others. “Your Man,” directed by Alley Leinweber, and written and produced by Allie Scully, is a stylized dark comedy about a young woman enduring a thirsty man’s “sweetness.” Over their Grubhub take-out, Jess inquires about Dan’s use of a plastic fork, a choice she’s clearly offended by. He acquiescences (“I can use chopsticks if that’s what you want), but his excessive fawning is off-putting to her. By the time he puts on Leonard Cohen and sings along dramatically, she’s totally checked out. In a concise 6 minute package, the film gets a lot of mileage from its strong characterizations — millennial behavior and talking points captured with dead-on accuracy — and colorful production design complemented by soft glow visuals.
