A strange and hostile girl is visited by universal love in its personified form. Ava Hase directs “A Person Named Universal Love,” a dark comedy series that looks at a young woman’s relationship with a persistent, unconditionally loving being. Universal Love, played by Oscar Falcon, comes knocking at the door of "The Girl" one afternoon. Despite pouring his heart out with open arms, as he seems to have done relentlessly for a while now, "The Girl" tells him to get lost. After making him do some humiliating tasks before banishing him yet again, Universal Love immediately amps himself up for another knock. Episode 1: Who’s that knocking at the door? Universal Love makes his way into the apartment of "The Girl" and refuses to leave.
Episode 2: Despite having Universal Love duct-taped and tied-up in the back seat of her car, "The Girl" begrudgingly decides to hear out the being.
Episode 3: After having a dream where the two perform a dance routine, "The Girl" wakes up only to find Universal Love is still in the picture.
Episode 4: "The Girl" and Universal Love make an unexpected public appearance.
