In this experimental fashion film, a young woman enjoys a peaceful, secluded picnic before venturing into the bustling city. “Australian Sweetheart”, by Jane Inyang, is composed of a series of elegant images portraying a feeling and a style. We’re paying close attention to the clothes and the compositions. A muted color scheme allows pops of red as she bites into a raspberry, or drinks from a juice box. Amongst the serenity, her blank expression stands out and it doesn’t change when her nature walk is replaced by the ominous chaos of the city, but we feel the difference all around her. Directed by Jane Inyang. Starring Yana Edwards. DP: Samuel Vines. 1st Assistant: Tahsin Rahman. Stylist: Elle Hioe.
