Two buddies flip through TV shows in the future. Written and performed by the Chicago comedy group, c.r.u.d., “CRUD COUNTRY” is an experimental comedy brimming with bizzaro non-sequiturs and elaborate DIY sets and props. As they kick it in the hangout room, Judd Crudd and Buddy Crudd telecommute from the future through grainy VHS. They introduce a trio of nonsensical TV scenes: a first date featuring a smorgasbord of disgusting food and drink; a grotesque dental visit; and a chaotic business lunch. It’s a frantic, absurdist satire on modern bourgeois society, gloriously overstuffed with ludicrous dialogue and art design. -JM. Director: Judd Crud. Cast: Beth Martin, Bud Crud, Taylor Waked, Judd Crud. Written by: Crud Country. Costumes and Makeup: Beth Martin. Sound: Bud Crud. Editor: Judd Crud. Sound Effects: Luke Leavitt and Judd Crud.
