On an empty beach at the end of summer, two young men experience a spontaneous connection. “Dino at the Beach,” directed by Josh Cox, is a sensual tone poem filmed at a picturesque Cape Cod beachfront. The self-assured Sebastian strikes up a conversation with the reserved Dino after finding him alone in the sand. He comfortably brings up the possibility of a physical encounter as Dino tries to find his bearings in the situation. Shot on 16mm film, there’s a lovely ambience and texture to the images that soften the edges of the intense affair. It’s an erotic snapshot, timeless, bittersweet, and fleeting. -KA. Director, DP, Editor, Producer, Camera & Sound Operator: Josh Cox. Cast: Mateo Correa & Devon McDowell.
