A scatterbrained cat-sitter and her roommate go in search of a lost cat. Ava Hase directs and stars in “Kitty Kitty,” a stressful but amusing vignette of pet-sitting gone wrong. Ava returns home with BLT, her boss’ cat, who wastes no time puking all over her floor. As Ava talks on the phone with her friend/roommate, Amelia, they juggle a variety of conversations beyond the cat puke (a blister on her ankle needs a bandaid; Amelia needs help carrying in an armoire). When the distracted Ava discovers BLT has escaped, a chaotic search ensues. The film is carried by its naturally funny performances and a perfectly real friend dynamic captured in a rolling, overlapping manner with a mix of long takes and jump cuts. -KA.
