A man becomes sad after making a huge mistake. PJ Evans writes and directs “Sad,” a satirical video essay that recollects the tragic loss of what could have been a lucrative investment. As PJ engages in a game of Mario Kart on his Nintendo 64, we hear his voice dismayed by a decision that altered the course of his financial life, and the harsh reality that he could have likely been living in Hollywood with $100,000 in his bank account. At right around two minutes, Evan’s deadpan delivery and the peculiar contextual circumstance provide a comedic poke at the regularly felt “what-could-have-beens” pondered in our day-to-days. -JM. Director, DP, Editor, Cast: PJ Evans. Graphics: Daniel Garfield.
