A new film edited from the same footage as last years, The Men of Dodge City. Andrea Sisson + Pete Ohs, responsible for the re-edit, The Other Men of Dodge City, reshape and add some flair (see: freeze frames) + insert several full songs from No Age, achieving some intermittent pep. But the point is still listening over talking, naturalism over development, and both are equally successful in creating tone & sticking to their guns. Sisson and Ohs, a filmmaking duo called Lauren Edward (Filmmaker Magazine's 25 New Faces '13) asked fellow New Face cinematographer/filmmaker, Nandan Rao, to let them take a stab at re-editing his film. Rao liked the idea & handed over the reigns (the harddrive) and let the duo spin their Remix. It serves as a nice companion piece & interesting experiment, one which surprisingly seems like a new idea in indie film despite our current culture of the mashup. Off the quote, we're at a peaceful ...
