Trying to get ahead in Hollywood, a struggling actor claims to be the illegitimate son of a celebrity. Ariel Gardner directs “Let’s Keep the Party Going,” a comedic glimpse at a man’s desperate attempts to become a working actor. Stuck in a loop of preparation and unsuccessful auditions, Hunter moves through his day-to-day reality with a sense of resentment. On a date he’s pressed about his five year plan; he struggles to answer. Hunter pushes his agent to take him more seriously, but there’s no budging. That is, until he decides to claim a false connection to a well-known actor. Interest for some bigger roles appears, as well as from a woman with the last name of Coppola. Straightforward in its satire, it’s an apt, ultimately poignant, take on the nepotistic circumstances and “fake it til you make it” mindset of Hollywood. -JM. Director: Ariel Gardner. Cast: Nick Hurley, Blu Hunt, Chase Fein, Karin Nord, Bobby McCoy, Steve Clemmons, Rachelle Williams, Ben BenAry, Jordan Michael Blake, Robby Massey. DP: Ryan Thomas. Sound: Jake Robinson. Sound Design & Mix: Tyler Walker. Additional Sound Recording: Paul Cornett. Gaffer: Nate Cornett. Colorist: Anthony Campagna.
