Drama, Short Films, 09-Sep-2024
Trapped in a pyramid scheme of beauty products, a Korean entrepreneur finds her relentless pursuit of the American Dream in jeopardy. Stevie Szerlip’s “Young Forever” offers a flashy, compelling look at this sales woman’s endeavors and the drama that follows. As a sales rep, Young Lee makes her rounds hawking beauty products to potential new business partners. She’s haunted in her sleep by the company monologue in the voice of a surreal, beauty-model siren. With work being slow for her husband in Seoul, an opportunity to double down is hard to resist. The shining star happens to be Lee, playing an exaggerated version of herself, aided by stylish visuals and inducing score. -JM. Director: Stevie Szerlip.
