Drama, Short Films, 28-Sep-2023
In spaces designed to be merely tolerated, a group of people engage in a series of uncanny and disconnected interactions. “This Could Be Heaven,” directed by Hope Green, uses a surreal framework to turn the mundane into the miraculous via office buildings, supermarket parking lots, dollar store aisles, and industrial construction sites. Through a magical realist scope, Green’s film tenderly considers the relationship between people and their places—Americana and its infrastructure and workplaces, and the ways we look for home and connection. -Jinho Myung. Director, Writer, Editor, DP: Hope Green. Cast: Elizabeth Stuelke, Laura Stisser, Quanisha Sweeper, Vada March, Jacqueline DeHart, Joel Watson. Sound Recording and Production Assistance: Megan Hill, Jasiel Lampkin, Cat McCarthy.
