Madhu (Honey)
At a night festival in India, two former school friends reunite after years of being apart. Tanmay and Tanvi Chowdhary direct “Madhu” (Honey), a heartfelt look at a reunion and the feelings that simmer deep into the evening. In the city of Kolkta during the Hindu festival 'Durga Pujo,' Satakshi awaits to link with her childhood friend Madhu. Wondering how they’ll notice each other given that much time has passed, when they finally do, it’s as if they were together just yesterday. They meander the night market, partake in festivities, banter with vendors, and reminisce about shared memories. As the film opens with Madhu’s reading of an old journal entry—expressing an interest in Satakshi as early as their school days—it then closes with a letter from Satakshi to Madhu six years after the evening we observe. It’s an intimate and endearing portrait romantically capturing a fleeting moment and the place it occured. -JM. Director: Tanmay Chowdhary, Tanvi Chowdhary. Cast: Madhyama Halder, Satakshi Nandy.
