Philip Thompson is an award-winning Brooklyn based filmmaker and editor. His work explores the human condition and media consumption through an experimental narrative lens, primarily in 16mm and video tape.
His work has screened both domestically and internationally, including Chicago Underground Film Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival (receiving the audience award), and also received accolades from the world’s largest undergraduate film festival, Ivy Film Festival. It has also played at the 32nd Onion City Experimental Film + Video Festival, earning the top jury prize.
Philip was raised by his mother, his father, and his television.
