Linas Phillips continues his Shawnsey series in a quick pic about the man from Boston with bad hearing trying to get his stand-up routine off the ground. Whatever Phillips does, I'm on board with & there's a couple hilarious moments here, as when he's reviewing footage of his routine and tweaking when he should tip his sunglasses for effect. Last year, Phillips used his Shawnsey character to memorable effect in a classic episode of HBO's Eastbound and Down (chapter 24, the water park episode). He also stars opposite Jay Duplass in the upcoming Manson Family Vacation. Previously, Philips was featured on NB via Bad Penny & in a small part in the NoBudge favorite William Never Married. Shawnsey's Revenge was directed by Linas Phillips and co-directed by Christian Anderson.
