A young Jewish woman sleeps with a series of Catholic men and forgets the Mourner's Kaddish. Ava Burka writes, directs, and stars in “A-Men,” a fourth-wall-breaking dramatic comedy that explores the sexual escapism of its defiant character. We meet Esther as she explains her recent forays with James, Jude, and John. As she anticipates an upcoming Shiva, she speaks with her grandmother, Bubbe, who is adamant about setting her up with Jonah, a Jewish man. With its blunt tone and snappy deliveries, the film is a raw and fast-moving take on young-adulthood, sex, and religion. -JM. Writer/Director/Starring: Ava Burka.
