Lady of the House
14-Feb-2017
A once promising opera singer finds herself years later as a stay-at-home mom with two young boys. She’s overwhelmed and overworked and there’s a distant look in her eyes. Life (or one day) rolls on, hurtling down the track faster than she can keep up. Her kids are perpetually crying or demanding something, and even her own birthday party is no break. She cooks all the food and cleans all the dishes, and her husband seems oblivious to her burden. Director Bradley Bischoff, who we’ve featured multiple times, is a Chicago-based filmmaker with a keen focus on lost characters in suburban settings. As in his previous short "Nomad," there’s a feeling of being set up for something, a prologue to something larger. He's a distinct filmmaker quietly building a solid body of work. Written and Directed by Bradley Bischoff. Director of Photography Casey Bohrnell. Starring Karina Villarreal.
