The Train Eater
Documentary, 18-Sep-2018
A vérité portrait of Timothy Little, known as the Train Eater, a performer who has adopted the NYC subways as his preferred venue in speaking out against police brutality and Trump’s America. Beautifully captured and stunningly performed, the film is a poignant time capsule of dark days in our country. Watching Little as he prepares for work is like watching a building storm. And when he finally reaches his stage — the D train at 125th St — he explodes with stirring verses pleading with strangers to acknowledge the out-in-the-open hypocrisy and moral bankruptcy of our current administrations. The whole thing is goosebump-inducing, an undeniably infectious performance, passionate, funny, truthful, and regrettably pressing. -KA. Starring Timothy Little. Directed by Timothy Jacob Elledge. Photographed and Edited by Michael Faller.
