A married couple invites a young artist to temporarily live with them as the husband partakes in a new fitness trend - wearing knight’s armor in daily life. “Years,” directed by Christian Cerezo, is a chamber piece that renders its observations on domestic life, artistic pursuit, parenthood, and personal insecurity in dryly comedic exchanges. To build strength, Edward has taken to wearing full body armor around the house to the bewilderment of his wife, Liv. When a musician named Reid arrives to record an album in Edward’s home studio, her presence unsettles Liv - now forced to compete for her husband’s attention. Cerezo’s film is handled with simplicity and wit, tonally comparable to his 2018 short, “A Bride and a Groom,” about a woman born literally wearing a wedding dress. -KA. Writer, director: Christian Cerezo. Cast: Pricilla Jin Chung, David J. Lee, and Yurie Kim.
