A young couple picks up a bench they found for free on Craigslist. Gus Reed directs “FREE bench MUST PICK UP TODAY,” a concise, unsettling drama about a church pew and the potentially dark forces behind it. The couple, played by Hunter Doohan and Davi Santos, scout furniture online for their new apartment. Upon picking up the free, pew-like bench, from what seems to be an inconspicuous home, one of the men describes an eerie feeling as they load it into their car. While the two return to their apartment and find a place to nestle the furniture, the feeling becomes greater. The next day, one of the men claims to have seen a stranger in their home sitting on the bench. At right around six minutes, Reed hones in on cinematography and score to create a quick yet well-paced look at this haunting account. -JM. Cast: Hunter Doohan, Davi Santos.
